As part of the commemoration of the finished CIkapali highway, a talkshow and an essay competition were held for junior and high school students. The essay competition was held simultaneously in five different cities in West Jawa and was kicked off with a talkshow by Leonas Chatim - Senior Consultant Environmental Resource Management (ERM), Adeline Tiffanie Suwana – Founder of Sahabat Alam and Riyanni Djangkaru - Campaign Director Savesharks Indonesia. All three individuals also serve as the board of judges for the essay competition.
More than 500 junior secondary and high school students and their advisors from 5 different cities: Purwakarta, Subang, Indramayu, Majalengka, and Cirebon attended the awarding night. The event is hoped to increase the awareness of young generation in Indonesia especially in reading and writing their opinions about the environment of Indonesia in the face of climate change.
