Around 20 years ago, NASA found out that the decorative plant Sansevieria sp.is not only a sight for sore eyes but also a breath of fresh air, quite literally. The plant has the ability to effectively absorb three most common pollutants often found indoors which are trichloroethylene, benzene and formaldehyde. Thus, it is very strategic for everyone to cultivate and decorate their living spaces with this plant. Not only it produces oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide, one of the greenhouse gasses, it absorbs other toxic pollutants that other houseplants could not absorb quite as effectively.
Sahabat Alam, as the appointed manager of the Sansevieria Club, celebrated Jubilee School 10 year anniversary with organizing the planting of Sansevieria and a fun bike ride starting from the yard of Jubilee Scholl all the way to Mall of Indonesia at Kelapa Gading Permai. The celebration showcase the commitment of the school in preserving our environment through the establishment of Sansivieria Club and participating in environmental preservation actions.
