Enlightening young minds about the urgency of environmental preservation is crucial to ensure the success of the whole movement. They are, after all, the one who will inhabit the earth in the future and the one with the biggest influence and energy make efforts thrive. This is why Sahabat Alam exists. As clearly stated in our vision and mission, which is enhancing the young generation’s love and care towards conserving the nature, environment, biodiversity and building commitment to acting in saving the planet, Sahabat Alam serves as the bridge to help young generations feel that through various activities. This is achieved, first and foremost, through proliferation of issues and current measures in regards to environmental problems.

One of the easiest and most effective ways to start proliferation is through school; they place where they obtain most of their knowledge. Thus, in cooperation with Jubilee School Full English Program, Sahabat Alam held School Seminar raising the theme “Save the Planet”. Representatives from organizations and governmental institutions namely the Indonesian Ministry of Environment, Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (Yayasan KEHATI), and National Climate Change Council (Dewan National Perubahan Iklim) attended the event to share their expertise and deliver up-to-date information about current environmental issues.

The event was wrapped-up with the students of Jubilee School making their “Save the Planet” Declaration. It is hoped that the students and young generations everywhere would see it through and be more interested in championing environmental causes by adopting more sustainable lifestyle, refraining from using environmentally harmful product, and conserving biodiversity.
