The Last of the Starlings

As a country very rich in diversity, Indonesia bears a lot of responsibility in maintaining their population. However, this might be difficult to achieve when it comes to endemic creatures, the Bali Starling (Leucopsar rothschildi) in particular. The beautiful birds are native and can only be found in Bali, making it an extremely rare and exotic commodity with high economic value.

Sahabat Alam believes that it is every Indonesians’ duty to help conserve our biodiversity riches. Not only to maintain balance of the environment but also the pride of being Indonesian. Thus, as an organization active in involving young generation in environmental efforts, Sahabat Alam seeks to educate and encourage young generation to tackle the issue..
