In celebration of the International Year of Forests, ASEAN Center of Biodiversity held School Forum on Biodiversity and Forests in SMA Islam Al-Azhar 3 located at Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Indonesia. In this event, student will receive knowledge about biodiversity as well as measures of preserving it.

Invited as a keynote speaker was Rolando A. Inciong, Head of Communication and Public Affairs of ASEAN Center of Biodiversity. Sahabat Alam was also invited to share our knowledge from our direct experience in preservation of biodiversity.

To close the event, Asean Centre for Biodiversity Calendar “Know Biodiversity, Know Life” were given to the students and the school. The calendar serves as a reminder of what we can do to protect biodiversity. “The ASEAN Heritage Parks: a Journey to the Natural Wonders of Southeast Asia and the ASEAN Biodiversity Outlook”, a book to encourage greater appreciation and support for the protection of the ASEAN’s Heritage Parks was also handed to the School Principal.
