Year 2011 is declared as the International year of forest. The occasion is to remind the citizens of the world about the crucial role our forests have in sustaining life on earth. In the spirit of celebrating the year as well as the launch of REDD+ Indonesia website, 4-day Expo with the theme “Green Living Concept for Better Future” was held. Attended by Indonesian Ministries, Government Organizations, Businesses and also organizations with concerns for forestry, the event also witnessed the First Signing of Stamped Letter for our first International Year of Forests.

Sahabat Alam was invited to attend the gala opening of the 3rd IndoGreen Forestry Expo, opened by Zulkifli Hasan, Indonesian Minister of Foresty at Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta. The event is hoped to raise awareness on sustainable management, extraction and conservation of our forests. That way, we can still fulfil our needs through what nature ahs to offer without compromising environmental balance.
