Cleaning Pulau Tidung

Coral reefs and clean beaches continuously decline over the years due to anthropogenic causes. The least we can do is to clean up the mess that we made and tried our best to restore environmental balance.

Sahabat Alam along with students of seven different schools, namely SDN 01, SDN 02, SDN 03, SMPN 241, SMKN 61, MTSN 26 and Madrasah Iptidaiyah 17 of Pulau Tidung, were working together to clean the beaches of Pulau Tidung, Thousands Islands. Not stopping there, Sahabat Alam along with the students also planted 15 different kinds of coral reefs to try restoring the population of Indonesian coral reefs.

It is hoped that through this activity, children and youth would be more careful with their lifestyle to not harm marine ecosystem and to be more eager in preserving the environment.
